Summary

Tegata provides network connectivity by installing a soft-SIM on the terminal, providing security beyond that of a VPN and eliminating the need for dedicated equipment and the risk of losing the SIM, allowing password-less network connectivity. Furthermore, as a cloud-based monthly service, Tegata can flexibly respond to sudden increases or decreases in the number of devices used due to changes in teleworking.

• VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a technology that extends a private network by building a virtual tunnel between users connected to the Internet and other networks. A router that supports the VPN connection method is required at each location (e.g., company), and a terminal such as a PC or smartphone that supports the VPN connection method is required for remote access (e.g., teleworking, going out, etc.). In addition, account information (ID/password, etc.) is verified and authenticated when connecting.

System configuration

LTE over IP®*, a technology for LTE communication over IP networks such as Wi-Fi, is used to build virtual private LTE.

• Private LTE is the use of LTE technology used in cell phone service by companies and organizations for their own operations or as dedicated facilities.
