TDC Soft launches Nenoa, a private AI appliance for high-security environments.

TDC Soft Corporation (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Hiroyoshi Kobayashi, President & CEO; hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) will begin offering Nenoa, a private AI appliance that can be completed within an internal network, on April 1, 2026. This product has been developed for all companies and departments, especially for business sites where strict security is required. Under the slogan of “Secure AI for Every Job. It is a fixed monthly fee service that can be easily introduced without a large infrastructure investment, as well as safely use AI even without an Internet environment.

■Background of Development
As the business use of generated AI is rapidly expanding, there is a growing need for AI use in operations that handle highly confidential information, such as customer information, contracts, internal documents, and source code. However, there are many cases where cloud AI cannot be used from the viewpoint of security policy in business sites that handle confidential data. In particular, cloud AI itself cannot be physically used in industries that require strict information management, such as finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and government offices, or in closed network environments where Internet access is prohibited.

On the other hand, on-site issues such as the risk of losing business know-how due to the retirement of skilled personnel and the need to improve operational efficiency due to chronic labor shortages all have a high affinity with AI. In the past, there was an approach to build AI environment on-premise, but it required an initial investment of tens to hundreds of millions of yen and expertise to install a large GPU server, which was an extremely high hurdle to overcome.

“Nenoa” is an installed hardware terminal equipped with local LLM, AI chat, AI editor, and API linkage. It can be used immediately with only a power supply and network connection.
