Establishment of TDC-CSIRT

The Group has established TDC-CSIRT, a team dedicated to preventing and responding to security incidents that occur on customer systems and the Group’s services. The TDC-CSIRT plays a central role in our organizational efforts to ensure that emergency responses are swift and accurate in the event of a security incident.

Directly under management and cross-functional organization within the company

The TDC-CSIRT is established as an organization that reports directly to management, allowing for prompt response, including managerial decision-making, in the event of a security incident. The TDC-CSIRT is composed of employees with specialized knowledge from various divisions within the company, and has a cross-functional support system.

Outline of Activities

TDC-CSIRT conducts the following activities in order to deal with security issues that are becoming highly complex.

Vulnerability Information Provision

We quickly catch information on various software vulnerabilities, etc., and consider measures to deal with them. In recent years, Heartbleed and other serious software vulnerabilities have been discovered, which have had a significant impact on the continuity of services around the world. In order to respond to such situations, TDC-CSIRT monitors software security information.

Security Incident Response

We take prompt and appropriate action in response to incidents such as information leaks. In the unlikely event of a service outage or information leakage in our services, we will quickly contain the incident, eradicate the cause, and restore services with the support of TDC-CSIRT.
