Digital Technology Division
Delivering new value through cutting-edge technology
In recent years, the evolution of digital technology and the diversification of solutions have been remarkable, and the value required of system integrators is also changing. In 2018, TDC SOFT Inc. established the Digital Technology Division, which specializes in cutting-edge technologies (at the time of its establishment, it was known as the Technology Development and Promotion Division). This is a group of digital specialists who are engaged in both delivery and R&D based on the philosophy of "using technology to create value for our customers.
In the years since its establishment, the Digital Technology Division has steadily increased its presence. From initially providing a large number of "technical support" such as architectural assistance and troubleshooting for internal projects, the focus in recent years has shifted to "project support," in which we contribute to the projects themselves using cutting-edge technologies. In addition, the ability to disseminate technical white papers and content related to the latest technologies has also been strengthened, both internally and externally.
Another important mission of the Digital Technology Division is to support the careers of engineers who pursue technology. In addition to creating an environment in which specialist engineers can play an even more active role, we are also working to train young engineers who wish to acquire advanced technical skills. This is an ideal environment not only for those who already have highly specialized skills, but also for those who want to hone their expertise in the future. We are a challenging organization that can lead our evolution into a "next-generation system integrator" by standing at the forefront of change and proactively taking on the challenge of new technologies.

Financial Systems Division
Thinking about our customers' future together
The core business that has supported TDC SOFT's growth over the years is the financial systems business, where we leverage our extensive experience and knowledge to develop, maintain, and operate mission-critical systems for clients in the insurance, credit, and banking industries. In the development of financial systems, it is important to understand the customer's business and operations and incorporate them into the system appropriately. Our deep understanding of the customer's business is the reason why TDC SOFT Inc. has built a strong relationship of trust with our customers and why we are receiving an increasing number of requests for “employee replacement” services, in which we perform tasks on behalf of the customer's employees.
Today, mission-critical systems represented by mainframes are referred to as legacy systems, and there is a growing need for migration and modernization. The shift to cloud computing is also progressing in the financial industry, with an increasing number of customers moving to the cloud when their current systems reach the end of their lifecycle. In the world of financial systems, there is now a need for technology that can work on both wheels, maintaining current systems while taking on the challenge of new areas.
In the Financial Systems Division, we have not only veterans who can handle COBOL and PL/1, but also many young employees who work on projects as a team. The ability to think about business together with customers is a major attraction of working in TDC SOFT's Financial Systems Division. Another major advantage in terms of career development is the ability to develop multiple areas of expertise, including both technology and operations, and to aim to become a hybrid type of human resource. You can aim to become a true IT professional, not just a technical expert.

Solutions Division
Provide multi-solution services
The Solutions Division does not limit itself to specific customers, but rather deals with a wide range of customers based on the axis of solutions. The Data Management Services Division within this business unit is responsible for the construction of data infrastructures from data source, collection/processing, accumulation, and visualization, utilizing cloud management services such as AWS and Azure.
The Solution Services Division provides consulting, implementation, and development of SaaS solutions such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Snowflake. For any of these solutions, TDC SOFT's strength lies in the fact that we have a large number of engineers and have developed many of them as a certified partner. In addition to refining these main solutions, we are also working on acquiring technologies and participating in projects for new solutions that will be in high demand in the future.
The Solutions Division aims to provide not only stand-alone solutions and tools, but also high-value-added solution services by combining various solution fields such as BI/DWH, SaaS, PaaS, and ERP. To this end, we focus on training engineers with multiple skills across disciplines. For example, they can aim to become multi-skilled engineers with skills in multiple solution areas as well as application and infrastructure areas, depending on their own aspirations.
The evolution of solutions and the market changes very quickly, so the Solutions Division requires a constant pursuit of new things. While there are large-scale projects in operation, there are also smaller projects and work that utilizes new solutions, so you will be able to gain a wide range of experience. There are many opportunities to experience leadership and PM roles at an early stage, making it an organization where young engineers can easily grow and develop their careers.

Platform Management Department
Honing the strengths of both on-premise and cloud computing
In recent years, the need for cloud computing has been rapidly increasing in the infrastructure domain. At TDC SOFT Inc., which has handled many large on-premise projects in the public and financial sectors, focusing on the cloud domain is an important theme. However, as cloud computing becomes more common, it is also true that an era has arrived in which it is no longer possible to demonstrate competitiveness on its own. Therefore, TDC SOFT Inc. is shifting its focus to the cloud domain and upstream processes while leveraging its extensive knowledge of on-premise systems. We will also focus on the cloud-native domain, where systems and services are built on the premise of cloud computing, aiming to become a one-stop organization that can handle all aspects of infrastructure.
While maintaining the booming on-premise domain, we will grow the cloud to a scale comparable to that of on-premise. In doing so, the on-premise skills we have cultivated over the years will be our weapon of choice. In contrast to the high barriers for cloud engineers to learn new on-premise skills, it is relatively easy for on-premise engineers to adapt to the cloud. The fact that we have developed engineers who can handle both on-premise and cloud computing is a major advantage of the Platform Management Department.
Due to the nature of our business, which is to identify and provide optimal infrastructure services to our customers, the Platform Division is not divided into on-premise and cloud computing organizations. This means that engineers have many opportunities to be involved in the technologies they are interested in and acquire a wide range of skills. While the need for cloud services is increasing, on-premise services will surely continue to exist, and the ability to become a full-stack infrastructure engineer is an attractive career opportunity only available at TDC SOFT.
Public Social Systems Business Headquarters/Corporate Systems Division
Responding to a wide range of needs in diverse industries
TDC SOFT's Public Sector Systems Division and Corporate Systems Division develop open systems in the areas of “public social systems,” which are a combination of public systems such as government offices and municipalities and social infrastructure such as financial networks, “industrial systems,” such as oil, automobiles, and steel, and “distribution systems,” such as beverages, trading companies, and transportation. We are also involved in the development of open systems for agile development and other trends. We are also working to promote next-generation SI by training engineers in trends such as agile development.
In the “Public Sector,” we have built relationships with major SIers over the years, and we have been able to meet their expectations on an ongoing basis, which gives us a stable business foundation. Many of our projects are large-scale, including the development and maintenance of air traffic control systems for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and the development and maintenance of mission-critical systems for credit cards. In the “industrial” and “distribution” fields, while the development of open systems is the main focus, we are also able to make vertical proposals from infrastructure to middleware, BI tools, and other front-end systems. For example, in the “industrial” field, we have been involved in the development and maintenance of mission-critical systems for major energy companies and steel manufacturers, and in recent years we have seen an increase in migration and modernization projects, In the distribution industry, we have been working directly with major transportation companies for more than 20 years, handling everything from upstream to development, operation, and maintenance.

Financial Business Design Business Headquarters
Co-creating the future of the financial business
The Financial Business Design Division combines TDC SOFT's expertise in large-scale financial systems development cultivated over many years with new technologies and methods such as cloud computing and DX to provide new value to customers while incorporating design thinking. Specifically, the division is involved in migration from legacy systems, large-scale open systems development, SOE and SOI open systems development, modern web development, cloud-native development, and the introduction of various solutions such as data analysis platforms.
This division is a new organization spun off from the Financial Systems Division, which handles general-purpose systems, and is full of momentum to take on new challenges. For example, we are working to expand our capabilities with an eye on the future of the financial industry by, for example, deepening our knowledge of Salesforce and other products in cooperation with divisions that have strengths in solutions, and gaining experience through in-house independent development in areas where we want to expand our business in the future. We are also focusing on the development of a nurturing environment by encouraging employees to acquire a wide variety of qualifications and to study together with their peers in working groups.
In terms of engineering careers, we are able to be involved in large-scale projects that are related to the recent restructuring of the financial industry, and we are also able to help engineers with COBOL experience shift to new careers and skills, such as taking on the challenges of modern web development and scrum development. This is the perfect stage for those who want to co-create the future of the financial industry together with our customers.
