Manage a new team to improve talent assignments
The Business Solutions Department to which I belong mainly handles projects and maintenance work for solutions such as SeriviceNow, Boomi, and Qlik, but since many of our projects are small, many of our members are working on multiple projects at the same time. I am sure this is not limited to our company, but the optimal assignment of human resources is a major challenge. In response to this situation, the team I am in charge of overall management is promoting a new assignment model in which members are pooled within the team to handle multiple projects as a team rather than as fixed members. The team also takes on R&D roles, such as researching new features for cloud services, which is difficult to do when you are deeply involved in a fixed project. In addition to improving assignment efficiency, this team also focuses on human resource development and solution knowledge training. Young members with insufficient skills can hone their skills through projects, and non-young members and external partners can also acquire knowledge of new solutions through training.

The environment for working while raising children is more evolved than ever before.
I had a baby when I was in my fourth year with the company, and I have been balancing childcare while building my career in my current division. Although there were fewer female employees raising children then than now, there were still female employees raising children, and I would bring my children to my colleagues' homes or company events and made friends with employees in different departments through my children. However, it was really difficult to balance work and childcare. At the time, I was involved in a project with a high degree of difficulty, and although I almost gave up on my job, I managed to continue working at the site. I was able to continue working while balancing work with childcare thanks to the flexible attitude of my supervisor and the follow-up support of employees who understood the difficulties of childcare. On the other hand, I was happy that even with a small child, I was entrusted with work that still had the same responsibilities as before.
The good human relations and flexible attitude have not changed, but the working environment at TDC SOFT Inc. today is much different than it was when I gave birth. The systems continue to improve, and the number of male employees taking maternity leave has also increased. In fact, three male employees in our team are planning to take childcare leave. I think the environment has become much more conducive to balancing work and childcare than it was when I was at TDC SOFT.

You don't have to work as hard as others just because you're in management.
When I first joined TDC SOFT Inc., I had the image of female managers working hard in a way that no ordinary person could imitate. At the time, I myself thought it was impossible for me. That is why, as a female manager, what I want to show to the employees around me now is the image of a manager who makes them think, "I can do that too. I think the choice between quitting a job after having a child or working many times harder than others is a hard one for many people. They work hard at their jobs, having the leisure to eat dinner with their families without having to work on holidays or overtime late every day. I would be happy if I could be a role model to show that such a managerial position also exists, and that it is an option.
Nowadays, women are not the only ones who take maternity leave or give up their careers; at TDC SOFT Inc. there has always been almost no difference between men and women in work, and in fact, we are currently trying to promote the success of women. We have plenty of opportunities for ambitious people, and I encourage anyone, regardless of gender, who wants to continue working for a long time to join our company.
