Profile
He started his career as a system engineer and worked for a package vendor on a permanent basis until his last position. After changing jobs to advance his career to Project Manager, he joined TDC Soft in 2020 and was appointed Project Manager in 2022.
Seeking to step up to project manager
In my previous job as a system engineer, I experienced a series of processes from system requirement definition to design, development, and testing. However, after many years of working on the same systems and tasks, I felt that my skills had reached their limit, and I wanted to change jobs to challenge myself in a new field. One of the reasons I decided to change jobs was that although I wanted to experience project management as part of my future career vision, it was difficult to perform tasks beyond the scope of a systems engineer at my previous job. What I was looking for in my new job was an environment where I could aim to become a project manager in a different line of work. I did not have a specific industry in mind. In addition to a SIer, I also considered consulting firms, but this was different from my desire to be involved in manufacturing onsite. In the end, I chose TDC Soft because they were looking for project manager candidates, and because they were engaged in a wide range of businesses, which gave me a sense of the breadth of their business domain. Also, the fact that the company promotes the acquisition of project management-related qualifications matched my desire to step up from systems engineer to project manager.

Drive the transformation of the company's core business, the Credit Division
After joining the company, I was assigned to the Credit Division, where I am currently working as a project manager in charge of developing QR payment systems for credit card companies. As a so-called “playing manager,” I have opportunities to actually do hands-on work, but my main mission is to manage the progress and quality of each process. The Credit Division is one of TDC SOFT's core businesses, and we have a wealth of knowledge and technology that we have cultivated over the years, as well as the trust of our customers. There are various operations within a credit card company, and we cannot take care of an important system without understanding the business. I believe that the fact that customers still consult with us today, as they have for many years, is proof of their trust in our company.
Another important role expected of me is the training of open systems engineers and the development of the next generation of leaders. It is also my important mission to focus on open systems projects as well as general-purpose systems, and to lead the department's policy in the field. I am also actively engaged in reskilling for general-purpose system engineers, and I myself am working on human resource development as a promoter of the working group.

Career possibilities greatly expanded with TDC software
I joined TDC SOFT Inc. to step up to project manager, and while I still have numerous things to learn, I am basically moving in the direction I envisioned. I have already been able to obtain project management certifications and am currently studying for AWS certifications, etc. The career path that has opened up has allowed me to work with a higher level of motivation than in my previous position. I have also been entrusted with human resource development and organizational management, which has broadened my career beyond what I had imagined. It was also a new discovery for me that I like "human resource development" more than I thought I would.
The Credit Division, to which I belong, is a field with potential for further growth as the world's payment methods become more diverse. In the future, there will be opportunities to take on challenges in unknown fields. Also, as a company as a whole, TDC SOFT Inc. is actively working on new initiatives to become a "next-generation system integrator. In the future, I would like to continue to take on challenges in my current work, without being bound by existing frameworks, so that I too can be appointed as the spearhead of new challenges.
